In summer in 2024, Lionel Messi insisted that Inter Miami would be the last club she played in her brilliant career. Now, with the set of its contract to end at the end of the MLS season, Herons are trying to expand Messi’s run on the pitch.
ESPN reported on Friday that Messi and Inter Miami are in conversation to expand the contract of Ballon D’Or, eight -time beyond 2025.
Messi signed the nominated-Khiladi contract of 2 1/2-year in July 2023 with Miami. A new stadium for the 2026 season, with a club to open Miami Freedom Park, wants Inter Miami to attend Messi Houseworming Party.
Inter Miami’s co-owner George Mass told ESPN in June that whatever his club would do to keep Messi with heron.
“I said earlier that my wish, my dream will be for number 10 to inaugurate our new stadium in March. This is a decision that is on Messi,” Mass said.
He said: “I always said that he is a competitive animal, he wants to win. I hope that we can pick up many trophies here in Inter Miami in the coming years. Here, we are waiting for only fans to be able to give good news about Lionel Messi.”
Since joining the club, Messi led Inter-Miyami to her first trophies, including 2023 league cups and shields of 2024 supporters, while setting records for most points in the same season.
After finishing second in Group A, Miami also moved forward in the current FIFA Club World Cup 16, but Paris fell into St.-Germen in the knockout stage.
In 38 regular-seasons MLS Games, Messi has 31 goals and 22 assistance. He also claimed 2024 league MVP.
