Inter Miami returns to MLS Action with CF Montreal’s visit

After the FIFA Club was out of the World Cup, Inter Miami returns to MLS action on Saturday with a visit to CF Montreal.
Miami (8-3-5, 29 points), which was abolished from CWC with a 4–0 defeat to Paris St.-Germen last week, will play MLS matches for the first time since 31 May. This is the beginning of a busy stretch from South Florida, with seven matches in the next 25 days, four in the next 11.
Four of his next five matches will be on the road.
“Clearly, we are having a lot of games, as well as all that we have already played, so we will need everyone to participate,” said Miami’s coach Xavier Mascherano. “We will see how we can manage some roster changes without feeling it too much because I do not like to change six or seven players from one match to another.”
Captain Lionel Messi will be among the people available as the club chiefs to the border, but the injuries will keep the Midfielders Yanik Bright and David Ruiz as well as the defender Gonzalo Lujan out of the action. The three practiced separately on Friday and are expected to return soon.
While attending the Club World Cup, Miami came from third to seventh place at the Eastern Conference and would be looking at it where it was released into MLS action.
Miami extended 2–1-2 in her last five MLS matches before CWC, including two direct win-one of them came against Montreal on 28 May.
Miami Midfielder Telasco Segovia said, “We are inspired against Montreal because we want to score three points, and we want to finish first in the league. We have a lot of games this month and we want to win them all.”
Montreal (3–12–5, 14 points) would like to build his first domestic victory of the season after winning a 1-0 win against New York City FC last week. Midfielder Victor Loturi made the lonely tally.
This was the second goal of the Loturi season, in which his previous one Montreal came back to Miami on 28 May. He is only one of the four players in the team with several goals, as well as Prince Ovsu (7), Jiakomo Vriyoni (3), and Dante Sili (2).
Montreal has won two of their last three matches, but its season-long struggles for the results have placed it in the Eastern Conference.
Montreal midfielder Samuel Piet said, “Even if there are no results, we have not played differently (in loss) compared to two wins.”
