Naphesa Collier, Lynx STINGY VALKYRES is ready to face defense

Minnesota Links is in its best form when Neeffa is dropping collier shots.

This may be bad news for Golden State Valkyries (9-7) as they prepare to give a tip against Links (15-2) in Minianpolis on Saturday evening.

Coliere will try to stay hot after scoring 28 points in his most recent game to lead links to win against Washington Mistics. After the first quarter, he had zero points, but got his rhythm to score 10 in the second quarter, nine in the third and nine in the fourth.

“I knew it was going to fall,” Kolier said that when asked about his shot. “… I was just going. We knew we were going to push through it. We kept on settling.”

Links are expected to go against the Golden State, who have won two games in a row, four of the last five and seven of the last nine.

Kayla Thornton leads the vulcaries with 15 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Veronica Burton is the top playmaker of the team, of which an average assists 5.2 per game to go with 10.5 points.

Valkyries coach Natalie Nakez also praised his players for their intensity on protecting. He gave only 57 points in his most recent victory against the Seattle Storm.

“They are really coming in themselves,” said Nakes. “I think we are naturally, from one to 12, we are naturally protector. And, as I said, our killer mentality as an identity is really visible. Therefore, again, again, as long as we had that effort, we recovered. …

“We want to become number 1 defense, so I hope it will push us a little closer.”

For now, they can claim number 2 spots, holding rivals 77.2 points per game. Only links (74.2) are stingar.

The hands of the Golden State will be fulfilled as it tries to slow down a high -power links crime. The Coliere finds the way out with 24.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, and Kayla McBrid is in second place with 15.4 points per game.

Curtney Williams (12.8 points per game) and Alana Smith (10.8) rounded out the top four scorers of Links. Natasha Hydeman is 8.0 points on an average in 17 matches from the bench.

This is the second season meeting between the teams. Minnesota held the first matchup in San Francisco to win a 86–75 win over Golden State on 1 June.
