Kelsey Mitchell scored 25 points, Natasha Howard never trapped double-dabble and Indiana fever in Indianapolis on Thursday night in the 81-54 route of Las Vegas Aces.
Howard ended with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Aliah Boston had 20 points and had seven rebounds and Mitchell had six aid pair for fever (9-8), who won their third straight game in the absence of all-star guard Ketleen Clarke, who has an injured left waist. The three-game run includes Tuesday’s victory in the Commissioner Cup final against League-Agni Minnesota Links.
A’aza Wilson scored 29 points, but the partner of any team did not have more than six for Aces (8-9), who scored only seven-fourth quarter points. He shot 26.2 percent from the floor and 18.8 percent on 3-pointers.
Wilson scored eight points to help Las Vegas start the third quarter with 12–3 runs to climb within 49–36. Lexi Hull responded with a 3-pointer and assisted Mitchell on a triple as Indiana rebuilt a 19-point lead.
Kia Stokes made two free throw for the aces, but the 17 points were closest to which they could find. Fever took a 68–47 lead at the end of the third quarter and reached the coast.
Before creating the first basket of Las Vegas, Indiana scored the first six points of the game and Jackie Young added a 3-pointer to trim the 8–5 lead. Mitchell scored seven points during 9–2 runs, which increased the fever lead to 17–7.
Wilson walked to a personal 6–0 run, including a basket, which eliminated the region of the aces for more than three minutes, and the aces found within 21–14 at the end of the first quarter.
Dana Evans began scoring in the second quarter with a 3-pointer, which pulled Las Vegas within four, but Indiana responded with an 8–0 run for a 29–17 lead. Wilson’s three-Bindu drama ended drought for another aces of another aces over three minutes, but Boston scored six points and helped to increase the fever to 41-22.
Wilson made a trimmed to give his 17 half points, but Mitchell replied with a 3-pointer and Howard pair a retrenchment, leading Indiaa a 46–24 halftime lead.
