Baltimore right-handed Charlie Morton will make his comeback to Atlanta on Friday, when Oriols opened a three-game series against Braves.

Braves lost two of the three against the visit of Los Angeles Angels in the last three days and dropped six of their last eight. Oriols fell twice in three-market road sets against Texas Rangers this week, and they dropped seven of their last 11.

Oriols won last year’s series against Braves 2–1 in Baltimore.

Morton was selected by Atlanta in the third round of the 2002 draft and started its major league in 2008 with Braves. He re -included the organization in 2021 and lived with Braves through 2024, winning 45 games in four sessions. Morton signed with Oriols in January as a free agent.

The Morton (4-7, 5.63 ERA) will be opposed by the Speaker of Atlanta in the opener of the series of Atlanta (3-6, 3.86).

Due to light tendenitis in his right elbow, Morton has not picked the pitch from 24 June. He is riding a four-poor winning streak, and has 2.68 ERA in the previous nine outings (six beginnings).

In its most recent presence, Morton did not take any decision against Texas after throwing five innings and scored two runs with three runs and three strikes on three hits.

“He has a long track record,” Baltimore manager Tony Manasolino said about Morton’s resurrection. “A man who has been successful for so long, it might not be a surprise.”

Morton last faced Braves in 2020 as a member of Tampa Bay rays. He is 3–2 with 3.53 ERAs in seven careers against Atlanta.

Storeer has won three of their last four starts, pitching up to 2.25 ERA at that stretch. He lost 2–1 to Philadelphia Philis on Sunday, despite scoring only two runs in seven innings.

Sturdear has launched his lone career against Baltimore in 2023, and he allowed two runs in five innings, while excluding 10 in no decision.

Morton will face a struggling Atlanta crime. Braves avoided their fourth shutout in the last seven matches on Thursday when Zurikson Profar damaged the angels 5–1 to lose a single homer 5–1 in the ninth innings.

Profar has worked in both sports since returning from 80-game suspension.

Brevs First Basman Matt Olson on Thursday single -handedly single -handedly reached the base for the 33rd consecutive game, which was the longest active streak in Major. This is the longest line by Atlanta player as Freddy Freeman scored a 33-game run in 2020. Gary Sheffield set a 52 game franchise record in 2002.

Atlanta’s manager Brian Snightkar is confident that the crime will emerge.

“You know that, I see them every day,” said the snoutker. “They turn on the page, they come in and they have found a lot of approaches. They work hard and they expect to win the game.”

Oriols made several roster tricks on the eve of the series.

During the closure on Thursday, Baltimore promoted the right-handed yennier Cano and Corbin Martin from Triple-e Norfolk. He nominated the right-handed mats Bowman for assignment and placed the left-handed Keagan Akin in the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation.
