Cheryl Reve of Links, Sandy Brondelo of Liberty to Coach All-Star Game

The Cheryl Reve of Minnesota Links and Sandy Bondelo of New York Liberty were tapped as the head coach of the upcoming WNBA all-star game on Thursday.
By the end of playing on Thursday, Minnesota (15–2) and New York (12–5) set two best records in the league, with their respective coaches the All-Star Award.
Interesting wrinkle is the one assigned to coaches.
Indiana Fever Guard Ketleen Clarke and Links Nefesa Kolier were nominated as the player captain for finishing first and second in the all-star fan voting respectively.
Because the best -recorded coach was associated with the player with the most fan votes, Reeve Team Clarke would coach and go against Kolier, the head of his chief Minnesota team.
Reve and Brondelo are very familiar with each other, as well as. Links defeated Liberty for the 2024 WNBA Commissioner Cup, but New York defeated Minnesota in the WNBA final and returned the favor.
In the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, Reve coached a team USA roster for the Paris Olympics. Clarke left the team USA roster amidst its first professional season, directing Team WNBA to win the team USA 117–109.
