India U19 played 50 overs match against England U19 in Northampton yesterday, giving them 4 wickets.
India U19 have made a 100-kilometre trip from the County Ground in Northampton to Edgbaston in Birmingham to watch the senior team in action. The junior team, with stars like Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav, is on a 1-month tour of England. Slated to play 7 matches (5 youth ODIs and 2 youth tests), India U19 is currently ahead by 2-1 in the 50-over series.
Although they weren’t in the audience on the first day of the India vs England 2nd Test, the up-and-coming stars watched captain Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja score 104 runs just on the second day. In total, they scored 203 runs together and took India from a precarious position, 211/5, to a comfortable one, 414/5.
