Marcus Semian ripped the three-run homer and Kori Sear added a single shot as Texas Rangers won 6–0 over Baltimor Oriols on Wednesday, in Arlington, Texas in a decisive game of the three-game chain.
On Wednesday, Texas sprinkled the five scorer innings and supported Degrome’s six sharp innings on Tuesday, riding the right of the sets of the set of Aces Jacob Degrome and Nathan Ewaldi to win the final two competitions of the set.
Ewaldie made his second start after a month’s disappearance due to fatigue of the right triceps, allowing just two hits and walking and hit the five, reducing his era by 1.75 through 14 outings.
Oriols’ starter Tomoyuki Sugano (6-5) continued his recent struggles, scored six runs on 10 hits and walking out of five in 4 2/3 innings. Sugano has scored 13 runs on 19 hits in 92/3 innings in his last two starts, and has 8.87 ERAs in the last five outings.
Rangers excluded Baltimore from 11–5, with Josh Smith three hits and Elejandro Osuna and Jona Hem added two. Jacob Web and Dan Dunning took Evaldi to the mound, with Dunning to earn his second savings in two hits and the last three innings.
No player had more than one hit for originals. Gunnar Henderson, Coleton Covers and Ryan O’Harn had a double in each.
Rangers took the third innings when Semian entered the left-level field. The explosion ran home Billy Makkini and Smith, respectively, who went and sung respectively.
Texas added fourth place when Azciel Duran’s two-out Single ran both in Osuna and Hem, which both of them had single. Seigar moved a 6–0 lead from fifth to 6–0.
Henderson doubled to open the ninth innings and went to third place on a groundout before taking Gary Sanchez out and left to the left to finish the game.
