Atlanta United on Wednesday signed Albanian defender Ana Minaz through 2028 with an option for 2029.

The 26 -year -old center was a free agent after three sessions in FC Famalikao at the top flight of Portugal.

“We are happy to welcome Enea to the club and are eager to integrate it in a group before the second part of our season,” said Atlanta’s chief football officer and sports director Chris Henderson. “He is a physical center and is a vocal leader with many leagues in Europe. We expect him to play an important role and add competition to his backline.”

The Mihaj was a captain in FC Famalicao after the stent with the Greek clubs Panitolicos (2017-19) and Paok (2019-22). He has a goal and four assistance in 165 matches.

Internationally, he has earned 19 caps with Albania and built the country’s UEFA Euro 2024 squads.
