Gary Woodland named the final US Rider Cup Vice Captain

US captain Keagan Bradley on Wednesday nominated Gary Woodland as his fifth and final vice captain for this September Rider Cup.
41 -year -old Woodland, team joins Vice Captain Jim Furik, Kevin Kisner, Web Simpson and Brant Snedekar for biennial golf competition against Europe.
It would mark the first Rider Cup appearance as a Vice Captain or Player for Woodland, who represented the US in the 2019 President’s Cup Triumph in Australia.
“I am extremely excited and grateful to Keagan for the opportunity to support the US team in the 2025 Rider Cup,” said Woodland. “Kyagan’s passion for this phenomenon is contagious and I am thrilled to be a part of it. For more than two months to go until we arrive on the bethpage, I am committed to do everything that I can help our team with the Kigan with Kigan.”
Woodland has registered four wins on the PGA tour, including the 2019 US Open on Pebal Beach. His best Finnish was a T2 at the Texas Children Houston Open in March this season.
Topeka, Ear., Native received the 2025 PGA Tour Courage Award after undergoing brain surgery in September 2023.
Bradley said, “I have an incredible amount of honor and praise for Gary and they have completed in the game.” “As a prominent champion and someone who is still competing at a high level, knows the demands of performing in the biggest stages of golf. He will be a valuable leader for us in the coming months and the 2025 rider cups in Bathpage Black.”
