New York Islanders closed Defenseman Alexander Romanov in eight years of expansion, the team announced on Monday.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but several reports stated that the average annual value of the contract is $ 6.25 million in total $ 50 million.
In the 2018 NHL draft, the second round pick of Montreal Canadines, Romanov had 20 points (four goals, 16 aids) and plus -5 ratings in 64 matches played in the previous season. There are 83 points (17 goals, 66 assistance) in 354 regular-season games with Canadines (2020–22) and islands.
