Salt Lake Tribune and ESPN reported on Sunday that Byu Quarterback Jake Ritzlaf plans to enter the transfer portal amidst controversies around the signal-collar.

According to reports, Ratezlaph is facing a seven-game suspension for violating the school’s code code arising out of the case of sexual harassment filed in May. According to ESPN, he has already started informing the intention of leaving the teammates and coaches of the team.

The 22 -year -old Ratezlaf was filed by a woman, identified as Jane Do AG at Salt Lake County, Utah, alleging that she raped and strangled her in her apartment in Provo in November 2023.

A Ratezlaph’s lawyer addressed the allegations on Friday, called him “ridiculous” and “bizarre” in a court, in which the incident was described as sex with consent.

The third judicial district was read in part from filing with the court, “Mr. Retzlaf especially and clearly deny each and all allegations that he bits, rape or strangled (women), who are ridiculous and strange allegations, all of which are false and untrue.”

His entry of consent sex still violates Byu’s honor code, which restricts premiral sex.

Ritzlaf, a native of California, who began playing his career for Rivaraside (California) City College, transferred to Byu before the 2023 season. After starting the last four matches in 2023, he won a training-priest battle in 2024 to become Kagar’s No. 1 quarterback. He won him 11-2 records and an Alamo Bowl on Colorado.
