Report: Blazers c deandre to become a free agent after purchasing Ayton

Portland Trail Blazers Center will buy the final year of the contract of DEndre Iton and make it a free agent, several media outlets said on Sunday night.

The 26 -year -old Iton is outstanding $ 35 million for the upcoming season to complete the contract of $ 132 million, which he signed with Phoenix Sun.

Instead, he will hit a free agency on Monday and be in much demand than Portland, which in the first round of the two most recent drafts, Center Donovan Klingon (number 7) and Yang Hansen (number 16 in 2025) and also veteran Robert Williams III.

Ionton took average of 14.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.6 aid and 1.0 blocks in the last season, with Portland, his second season-ending with Portland was shortened by the left calf injury.

He is averaged for his career 16.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.6 support and 1.0 blocks in Phoenix Sun (2018–23) and Blazers 398 regular-season games (391 start).

He finished third in the 2018-19 season in the NBA Ruki of the Year voting, when he formed an all-Roki first team. Sons selected Iton out of Arizona University with the first overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft.

Portland achieved him as part of a three-team trade with Milwauki and Phoenix, which sent all-star guard Demian Lillard from Trail Blazers to the box from Trail Blazers on 27, 2023.
