Matthew Libertor, Nolan Gordery Full Cards’ First Sweep of Guardian

Nolan Gorman and Victor Scott II hit each as a domestic run, as St. Louis Cardinals threw a joint three-hitter to complete their first sweep of the Cleveland Guardian with a 7–0 win on Sunday afternoon.

Matthew Libertor (6-6) played a six-plus innings, allowing three hits and five walks for his career-high third direct win. Five people were killed to help St. Louis win sixth consecutive position on the road.

Gordeman hit the first three-run homer against Logan Alan (5-6) and Scott exploded two runs from Hunter Gaddis in the seventh. Gorda scored twice and stole his first base of the year.

Cardinals won all three games in the series for their fifth sweep of the season. It first identified that the Guardians lost domestic competition in three straight days since 2-4, 2022.

After taking a 6–1 lead on Saturday, Cleveland scored 15 straight runs, which brought the hosts below two games for the first time since 8 April.

The Cardinals Third Basman Nolan Aranado, who was removed for precautionary reasons in the eighth, reached the milestone before exiting. The 10-time Gold Glove Award winner sang in the third for his 1,900th career hit-the sixth active player to reach a milestone became the 400th double in the sixth.
