Buhler (5-6) suffered losses after allowing four runs on four hits in four innings. He went three and hit three.
After Toronto Bargar and Gurero moved 2–0 on domestic runs, Narwaz cut the edge of Blue Jais at the bottom of the other in half. Red Sox later tied the game to another when the Trevor Story sang, the second stole and the Sedden scored on Rafala’s double.
Blue Jas scored twice a fourth and took a lead of 4-2. Andres Gimanez ran into a luke with a single to break the tie, and then Erni Clement scored on a base-loaded walk for Tyler Henman.
Toronto extended its profit 5–2 when Luke ran the fifth in Bo Bitch with a single.
Boston returned within two runs after Nick Sogard scored a double by Romi Gonzalaz, which made it 5–3 in the fifth, but ended the scoring.
