ESPN reported on Sunday that James Harden rejected his player option to sign a new two -year contract with Los Angeles Clippers.

The 11-time all-star guard will return to the clippers after spending the last two sessions. The second year of the new pact is allegedly a player option and partial guarantee.

Harden, which turned 36 years old before the next season, played 79 games (all introduced) for Los Angeles in 2024-25 and average 22.8 points, 8.7 aids and 5.7 rebounds, although his 3-point shooting fell to 38.1 percent below 35.2 percent before 38.1 percent.

He was named his first All-NBA honor after the All-NBA third team, 2019-20.

Harden also hit 18.7 points per game, 9.1 aid and 5.4 rebounds per game during the seven-game playoff defeat of the clippers for Danver Nuggets in the first round. Cleepers were fifth seeded at the Western Conference, but would try for better postsen results with Harden at the center of their plans.
