Astros activated RHP Lance McCullers Junior to face the cub

Houston Astros active the right-handed Lance McCullers Junior from the injured list to start the game of Saturday against the Chicago cub and gave Right-Handing Nick Hernandez the option for Triple-A Chinese land.

McCler, who is 1-2 with 4.91 ERA in seven this season, was out with a sprain right leg from June 13. He will make his first debut since June 10, when he conceded four hits with six strikes in five innings and four runs for four runs in five innings in a 4–2 defeat to Chicago White Socks.

Prior to that shock, McCullers consistently recorded quality, which begins with 19 strikeouts in 12 innings. He started his season on 4 May after remembering the last two sessions with injuries on 4 May.

Since 2015, in eight major league sessions, with all Astro, McCullers 137 is 50–34 with 3.54 ERA in appearance (134 start).

The 30 -year -old Hernandez did 9.00 ERA in two relief showers. In the last three sessions, he has 9.00 ERA in nine career Major League, San Diego Padress (2023) and Astro in 13 innings.
