Deontay Wilder defeated Tyrrell Herndon with 7th round of TKO

Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder ended a losing streak by stopping Tyrrell Herndon in the seventh round at Wichita, ear on Friday.

Wilder (44–4–1, 43 kos) dominated the route for technical knockout.

Fighting for the first time in more than a year, Wilder lost each of his two most recent quarrels in Joseph Parker in 2023 and Zati Zhang in 2024 and four of their last five. The other defeats in that period came against Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021.

Herlandon (24–6, 15 KO) also ended a year’s trimming. He went on his knees after being hit by a wilder left -handed punch in the seventh round. When the action started again, the referee stopped the fight after the wilder landed with its authority.

A left jab of Wilder knocked Hardon in the second round.

On the undercard, Nico Hernandez conducted a technical knockout against Robert Ladesma in the second round of the Super Banomvet Bout, and Dion Nicolson stopped Devant Williams with the fourth -round TKO in a light heavyweight battle.
