The New World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 bicycle has left for an action-pack start, with three Test series already shaping the initial standing. While Australia and England have reached the top, India and the West Indies need to make themselves land. Australia and England captured the first two spots on the WTC table, each claiming the perfect point of 100 after winning their initial matches. Sri Lanka sat third after wrapping a series of two matches against Bangladesh and a draw with a draw. Meanwhile, three teams- champions champions South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan, are yet to start their WTC campaign. Despite an impressive battle in Headingly, India’s initial match did not happen as per the plan. Visitors had five centurions in the match, but still ended to lose as England chased a dramatic chase to take a 1-0 lead in the five-tested Anderson-Tendulkar trophy.
