Nick Martinez took No-Hitter in ninth because Reds Beat Padress

Nick Martinez on Friday made a no-hit bid in each of his first three at-bats to raise hosts Cincinnati Reds for a 8–1 win over San Diego Padress.
After the first allowed Jackson Merrill to walk a two-out, Martinez (5-8) placed the next 22 batsmen in ninth place before issuing Tanton Brooks for free passes.
