8-year extension to Olers Inc F Trent Frederick

Edmonton Olers Forward Trent Frederick signed an eight -year, $ 30.8 million contract expansion on Friday.
Frederick’s signature comes four days before being set to hit the free agency.
Olers acquired Frederick from Boston Brins in a three-team trade on 4 March, including New Jersey Devils.
27 -year -old Frederick returned from an ankle sprain and played in a game with Edmonton this season before the playoffs. He scored a total of four points (one goal, three aids) in the 22 playoff games for oileers, which reached the Stanley Cup final before falling into Florida Panthers in six matches.
Frederick said on June 19, “Playing with this group … With this group, there is a chance to exclude that year and year, that’s why I am coming back here.”
He recorded 15 points (eight goals, seven supports) and a minus -14 rating in 57 competitions with Boston in 2024–25.
Frederick posted a career-high yoga in Gol (18), aid (22) and points (40) while playing in 82 games in 2023-24.
He has rated a total of 109 points (55 goals, 54 support) and a plus -18 in 338 career games since he was selected by Brins with a 29th overall pick of 2016 NHL draft.
