Kusal Mendis is suffering from shoulder injury during SL vs Ban 2 Tests, as well as ODI series can also be missed

Kusal Mendis wanted to score his 11th Test hundred while playing against Bangladesh in Colombo before being injured.
Sri Lanka wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis faced the right shoulder injury during the Sri Lanka VS Bangladesh 2 Tests in Colombo. While marching towards a well -made hundred, Mendis had already gone out trying to take down 8 with his team.
Kusal Mendis gets injured
He thought it would be an easy two runs. But Abdot Hussain agreed to hit the ball to easily cover. Kusal knew that he was not going to go inside, but still put it in a full length in the dive. He finished the crease well. But the worrying thing was that he would injure himself.
He won in pain and called for physio. It seemed that he would hurt his side. And slowly left the ground. Sri Lanka’s innings was wrapped on four balls. Soon, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) issued a statement, where he said that Kusal is subject to observation and there will be no wicketkeeping for the rest of the test.
“Kusal Mendis hit his right shoulder on the ground while diving, tried to avoid running out. He is currently being assessed and is still in pain. That teams are treating Physio and cannot take the field today. If the pain persists, an MRI will be scanned on the player. SLC said in a statement.
Kusal may recall the upcoming 3-Match ODI series against Bangladesh, which will begin in Colombo on 2 July. He was nominated in the 16-member squad of Sri Lanka a few hours ago, but may not fit enough for convenience. As mentioned by SLC, Kusal is still being treated and can even pass through MRI scan.
