Angel on the verge of climbing. 500, Open Series vs Nats

Los Angeles Angels will see to achieve something from April 20 when they open a three-game home series against Washington Nationals in Annahem, California on Friday.

After sweeping Boston Red Sox in three matches, Angels are first at .500 after May 23. A win will give him a winning record for the first time on Friday as he had gone from San Francisco veterans to grow 11–10 two months ago.

Angels have won seven of their last 10 and are a game behind Seattle Meriners for the second place in the American League West.

“A good vibe,” interim manager Ray Montgomery said after a 5–2 win over Red Sox on Wednesday. “I think people are loose. They are having fun. They don’t think they are out of any game, and you can feel it in the dugout. Just keep playing, keep grinding.”

Jose Soriano (5-5, 3.39 ERA) will get a beginning for angels, who have won each of their last three. He won his first win from May 30, when he threw 6 2/3 innings of one run in a 9–1 win on Houston Astro on Saturday, when he scored 10 runs and scored three runs.
