San Jose Shark, along with the team, placed the Defenseman Mark-Edard Vlasic on the wavers on Thursday after the 19 seasons.
The team said the move aims to buy the final year of the 38 -year -old veteran contract.
Vlasic appeared in 1,323 regular-season games and 142 playoff games since its launch in 2006.
There are 379 career points of Montreal origin (84 goals, 295 aids), including three points in 27 games in 2024–25.

Vlasic has a season left for eight years, $ 56 million extensions that he signed in July 2017, giving him a $ 7 million cap for 2025–26.
