Several news outlets reported that Finnish driver Waltarry Botas is finalizing a deal to return to Formula 1 with Cadilac in 2026.

Botas, currently a reserve driver in Mercedes, added fuel to speculation with a chutli video posted in his X feed on Sunday.

In this, he opens the door of a cadilac SUV and interacts with someone with the camera.

“Hey wow, it’s really a good seat,” Botas says while checking the driver’s seat. “I will not object.”

“And there are two seats,” the other person said, inspiring this answer from Botas: “And they are both independent?”

But when the second voice asks if he wants to sit, Botas responds, “Not yet.”

Cadilac is entering the championship series in the next season.

The 35 -year -old Botas has not created any secret of his desire to get a full -time F1 seat since Saubar was demolished at the end of the 2024 season.

Botas owns a 10 career win and 67 podium finish in around 250 begins with Saubh, Mercedes, Williams and Alpha Romeo from 2013. His last victory came in 2021 Turkish Grand Prix.
