Red Sox RHP Richard Fits gets the second chance against Angels

Boston Red Sox will send right-handed Richard Fits to the mound on Wednesday afternoon, when he will visit Los Angeles Angels for the three-game series final competition.
This will begin the second career of Fits against Angels, and he is undoubtedly hoping that it is better than one before that.
Fits (0-3, 4.71 ERA) suffered losses when Los Angeles defeated hosts Boston 7-6 on 2 June. Angels scored three domestic runs during the first innings of six runs that night. After recording three outs on 39 pitches, Fits pulled out of the game. He allowed six runs (five earned) and four hits and one went away.
Zach Neto, Mike Trout and Joe Edel first hit inning home runs.
After that performance, Fits was sent to Triple-A Worster. He gave seven-earned runs on 15 hits in 12 innings for Versster, and in the 15-day wounded list, Red Sox put the right-handed hunter dobins (stressful elbow).
“I was really focusing on what work I needed to do, and the build-up was a large part of that,” Fits told Masslive. “I was redefining my shapes of my pitches again and it feels really good. I really feel confident and feel that I am really a good place.
“I’m here I need to do what I need to do. I want to help the pitch and the team win.”
Fits will try to prevent angels from sweeping red sox. Los Angeles won 9–5 on Monday and won 3–2 in 10 innings on Tuesday.
In the last July MLB draft, the eighth overall pick Christian Moore scored two domestic runs for Los Angeles in Tuesday’s victory, which extended Boston’s defeat streak into four matches. Angels have 4–1 records against Red Sox this season.
Boston is 9–19 in a run game and 5–9 in additional-inning games. Red Sax wins in six additional-inning road games.
“It’s not fun to lose,” said Boston Shortstop Trever Story. “Winning is fun. We have half a season to play, so at this point we are playing a game (.500). I think it’s a disappointing part, do we know how good we can be. We have shown that shine, but you have to find a way to do it on a more consistent basis.
“We are going to be positive about it,” the story continued. “We are not going to give up, I know we know what kind of team we have and I feel good about showing it in the second half.”
NETO, Angels started the game of Tuesday after making an error in Shortstop, ninth innings. Los Angeles bench coach Ray Montgomery said that Neto blocked his right shoulder during an attempt to a theft in the eighth innings.
“It looks good,” Neto said. “I mean, it’s not very good. But you know, we are going to see how I feel (Wednesday) morning, and hope – hope – you know, I am feeling very good, and have come back to the lineup.”
Lafti Yusi Kikuchi (2-6, 3.01) is a potential starter of Los Angeles on Wednesday. The 10 career performance against Boston is Kikuchi 0-3 with 5.91 ERA in 42 2/3 innings. He allowed three runs in five innings when Angels defeated Red Sox 4-3 in 10 innings on June 3.
