Tilak Verma Scores Century on County Debut, Test Call-up makes a strong case

For those who have only seen Tilak Verma as a T20 batsman, Hampshire’s county championship against Essex offered a different story. Verma, one of India’s most talented young talents in white-ball cricket, has now taken a big step towards fulfilling the ambitions of his red ball. Verma has now joined the elite list of Indian batsmen to score a century on county debut – after Piyush Chawla, Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane.
