Report: Mavs c Daniel Gford to sign 3-year, $ 60m extension

ESPN reported on Monday that a major piece of the combined frontcourt for Dallas Maveryx would sign the Center Daniel Gford, a three -year contract expansion of $ 60 million.

Other media outlets reported that Gford’s deal would be $ 54 million.

In 2025–26, 26-year-old Gford was designed for an $ 40.2 million contract expansion, which he signed in 2021 with Washington Vizards in 2021, in the final year of the $ 14.4 million.

According to ESPN, Gaford’s agent-Mike worked with Dallas officials on the new deal of George and Clutch Sports, which runs through the 2028–29 season.

Ghafford, who joined Maveryx in a business with Vizards in February 2024 and helped Dallas reach the NBA finals that the spring will form a team in the frontcourt with Anthony Davis and Derek Lively II. The trio is expected to join Duke Star Cooper Flag with the number 1 pick in Wednesday’s NBA draft by Duke Star Cooper Flag.

The second round of Chicago Bulls in the 2019 draft, Gford is an impressive finisher, which claims the highest career field percentage (71 percent) in NBA as he entered the league. In 2023-24, he led NBA 72.5 percent in field goal percentage.

In six sessions with Bulls (2019–21), Vizards (2021–24) and Mavrices, Gafford has average 9.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per 378 games (215 start).
