Wide receiver Prospect Vance Spaphord on Monday shifted its commitment from Georgia to Florida.

Mission Vizo, Spaford of California, told 247Sports that he made the move in part, as he is looking for a chance to play in a team that works together as a unit.

In the 247 sports interview, Spaford said, “The football team is made of the best.”

In Florida, he will play with a transfer quarterback carson Beck from Georgia.

“When I went on my journey before this season, I saw how amazing his aggressive line was, how much time to be thrown to Carson Bake, so why not join the team that is going to throw the ball? The program will always attract the best players, and this is a winning culture, so it’s something that was really difficult for me,” Spaphaped.

247Sports Composite has listed Spaford as number 9 wide in the nation and number 74 in 2026 category as the number 74 overall player.

He made five official tour from May 30: Southern California, UCLA, Washington, Miami and Georgia. He initially committed to Bulldog last November.

In the head coach, the storm with Mario Christobal is going in his fourth season. His three-year record is 22–16.

Miami, who ended 10-3 (6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) in the previous season, launched a 2025 campaign against going to the Notre Dame on 31 August.

Spaford has been ranked by 247Sports as number 124 overall probability, number 12 wide receiver and number 17 overall recruitment in California. At the ESPN Future 50 event last July, Spaford won the fastest man competition, running a 4.35-second 40-yard dash.

Below is a 247Sports scouting report on Spaford from May 28, written by 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Greg Beins.

“Gifted wide has been out and has some rare symptoms that allow him to be a prominent player at the next level. A root as a runner looks like an alite and a college player who already looks in the ability to turn and separate a defender. Very quickly and explosive is separated. Beat press coverage and one on one.
