WTA Roundup: Market Wondrasova wins the first title in 2 years

Market Wondrasova captured his first WTA title since winning Wimbledon in 2023 by defeating Xinyu Wang in three sets at the Berlin Open on Sunday.
Wondrasova, a check, a scorching day in a check, beyond Wang 7-6 (10), 4-6, 6-2. Grass-court win indicated, perhaps, the beginning of a return to Wondrasova, which has been interrupted by left shoulder issues since winning Wimbledon.
Wang of China was playing in his first WTA final.
In the first set, Wang had six set points in the tiebreaker-which included four up 6-2-but Wondrasova sent them to grab the first set. Unaffected, Wang won the second set, but Wondrasova broke Wang twice in his first three service games in the third set, taking commanding 4–1lead.

McCartney Casler won his third WTA final and defeated Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine 6–4, Nottingham, 7–5 in England.
In the first set of the match, the players surpassed the interruption of about two hours – for more than 94 minutes of game. Casler is estimated to air in the top 40 in the rankings when updated to the list on Monday.
While serving 5-3 in the second set, Yastremska fought five match points, then broke the service of the casteler in the match. But Casler returned with his own break to take a 6-5 lead, then served for the match.
