Norway’s Victor Hoveland was forced to withdraw during the final round of the Travellers Championship in Cromwell, Con on Sunday due to a neck injury.

Hoveland, 27, appeared in pain on his early tea shot in the final round, although he made equal on the first hole. He bogged the second hole before exiting the syllabus at TPC River Highlands.

The seven -time PGA Tour winner shot 7 -inward 63 on Saturday and entered the race for the top -10 at the final signature program of the PGA Tour on Sunday. Hoveland, which ranks ninth in the official world golf rankings, opened with 4-under 66, then followed it with 5-over 75 before rebounding on Saturday.

Hoveland finished third in the US Open last week and four top -25 finish were finished in their last six starts. He will try to recur on time to compete in the open in four weeks.

Hoveland was not the only player to withdraw on Sunday. Eric Cole exited due to illness before the final round.

Coal, 37, shot 68, 67 and 69 to be 14th after three rounds to shoot at 6-under-Burbar 204.

Coal, who was demanding his first win on the PGA tour, ranks 77th in the official world golf rankings.
