Paper Rex finally achieved its first major trophy, defeating Varrant Masters Toronto 2025 in an exciting Grand finals Fnatic 3–1. This win is an important milestone for the Southeast Asian team and the Pacific region.

The best chain was a nail-beeter, with each map going under the wire. Paper Rex made a strong debut on his pick, sunset, winning 13–11 despite an early lead from Fenatic. An important sage wall and raise blast pack play by Jinggg and D4V41 secured the first map.

Icebox, fanatic pick, was a back-fowl. Fnatic’s Kaajak and Alfajer demonstrated incredible personal skills, killing 32. While Fnatic initially took a significant lead, Paper Rex returned its way, forcing overtime. Finally, Fnatic won the series of 17–15, leveling the series.

Despite accepting the lack of preparation on the pearl, Fnatic fought a strong battle. Paper Rex, however, demonstrated his experience, recovered from a decrease of 5–9 to win 13–10. D4V41 and F0rsaken played an important role in this return, leading his team to lead 20.

The final map, Lotus, was a will for the flexibility of both teams. The lead was moved forward with highlight plays from both sides. Some of the paper recipes gave a clutch 1V2, and the energy of the house crowd promoted their speed. Taking a 12–11 lead, the Fanatic led by Chronicle and Alphasar pushed the paper Rex to the verge. However, paper Rex held a strong, forced overtime and finally shut down a 14–12 map with F0rsaken and some decisive 2V4, leading to his championship title.

F0rsaken was nominated for the tournament MVP for his extraordinary performance as both the Comptroller/Creator and In-Game Leader. This victory was an emotional moment for paper rex, which marks the culmination of years of hard work. Coach Alex attributed his success to a newfound peace and smart gameplay, while Jingg expressed his gratitude for achieving his dream of becoming Masters winner.
