Injured Kasper Rud, Arthur Fhiles takes back from Wimbledon

Kasper Rud and Arthur Films, who sit 15 and 16 nos in the ATP rankings, withdrew from Wimbledon over the weekend due to their injuries.

Norwegian star Rudd is dealing with knee injury and has not played Nuno Borges of Portugal at the French Open in May since the second round of losses.

Rud, who is ranked high as number 2 in the world, is a three -time Grand Slam finalist, but Wimbledon has been his lowest successful Grand Slam. He is yet to exclude it from the second round.

The French up-end-comer with three ATP titles, cited a tension fracture in his back when he withdrew from Rolland Garos after opening with two wins. He would force her to remember the third Grand Slam of the season.

Fills’s best performance at a Grand Slam was in the fourth round of Wimbledon last year.

According to the ATP tour, China’s Zhang Jhizhen also returned from Wimbledon. Zhang has not played since March due to a shoulder injury.

Fabio Phogni of Italy, Elmer Moller of Denmark and Lloyd Harris of South Africa entered the Wimbledon main draw in place of the return trio.
