Team liquid, geekay esports win as regional playoffs as win

Geekay Esports and Team Liquid won matches in the upper bracket semi -finals as the regional playoffs were opened in Overwatch Champions Series 2025 – North America Stage 2 on Saturday.

The regional playoffs are a double-elimination bracket from 21-29 June and offer the top six teams from the regular season, which ran from May 10 to June 15. The two teams below, the seventh -place Supernova and Dhildaks in the eighth place went to promotion/redistribution to stage 3.

The top three teams will move forward in the Middarson Championship and North America Stage 3. The prize money has not been fixed yet.

Geekay Esports defeated the spacecatation gaming 3–1, Oasis Control 2–0 and Dorado Escort took 2–1 before 3–1 at New Junk City Flashpoint. Geekay won the Colosseo Push from 66.43m to 64.85m. Oliver “Admiral” Wahr of Estonia, Estonia, was chosen as the most valuable player.

Team Liquid claimed a 3–1 victory over NTMR. NTMR won 2–0 over Oasis Control before winning the Circuit Royal Escort 3–2. Liquid closed with a 3–1 win over Hollywood Hybrid and a 3–0 win at New Junk City Flashpoint. The MVP was selected by Team Liquid’s Elliot “TR33” Chu, an American/Korean player.

Geekay Esports and Team Liquid advanced in the upper bracket final on 28 June. Spacecastation Gaming faces Sakura asports on Sunday, and NTMR played extinction in the lower bracket quarter -finals on Sunday on Sunday.

The Grand Final is 29 June.
