Ked Anderson, No. 6 LSU closed number 13 coastal Carolina in MCWS Game 1

Ked Anderson threw three-hit shutouts and LSU ended the line-winning line of Costal Carolina’s 26-game on Saturday night with a 1-0 win in game 1 of the men’s college world series championship series in Omaha, Neb.

Anderson (12–1) scored five runs, walked out of 10 and had just one innings in which he did not allow a Basarner, but he gained continuously.

Number 6 Tigers (52-15) can claim their eighth MCWS title by winning Game 2 on Sunday afternoon. Number 13 Chanticals (56–12) lost for the first time in their two MCWS performances.

Derek Curiel moved to another location on a groundout, with a walkout, with a walk on the lower part of the first arrival against Cameron Fluke (7-1) and scored a single by Steven Millum. Flexi allowed four hits and two walks before giving relief by dominic carbon, in nine innings, in six innings.

Anderson required 25 pitches to work around two walks and a pass ball and completed one scoreless top of the first. He scorched the chonticals despite a two-out walk in the second, the first two batsmen reached the base in the third, a leadoff double in the fourth and an-out hit in the fifth before their first one-three innings in the sixth.

Costal Carolina had a leadoff single in the seventh and a sacrifice distribution potentially moved the tying run to the second place with the other, but Anderson got a consecutive groundout.

Anderson allowed a two-out walk in the eighth, but chased with a strike, and allowed a two-out walk in the ninth before flying.
