Diamondback, trying to catch in NL West, visit Rockies

Arizona Diamondback dropped the first two competitions of its current nine-game road trip, but bounced two consecutive win.

They will try to make it a three-straight win in the middle game of three-market set against Colorado Rockies on Saturday night at Denver.

The Diamondback Colorado will send the mound against the left-handed Carson Peakwist (0-4, 7.76) to the right-handed Meril Kelly (6-3, 3.41 ERA).

Erizona, Behind the two domestic runs by Eyesonio Suarez, who gave him 300 for his career, rooted Rockies 14–8 on Friday night. Diamondback scored four domestic runs and season-high was 21 hits in winning.

Arizona has won three of the first four matches in the 13-game series season with his National League West rival.

Diamondback is trying to stay within access to the jugrant division, but struggling to keep the players healthy. They enter eight game games on Saturday behind the first place of Los Angeles Dojers.

Arizona’s manager Tori Lovulo said on Friday that the catcher Gabriel Moreno, who was placed in the 10-day injured list on Thursday, was rebelled till Monday, faced a hairline fracture of his right hand and could be out after the all-star break.

Corbin Carroll did not begin for another straight game due to a left -handed fusion, but could be in the initial lineup on Saturday night.

“Corb is much better, trending in a very positive direction. And just want to give him a work day, just try and get out, see how he feels,” Lovullo said. “The last thing you want to do, it puts a bat in your hand and has some sting. So he is going to do everything he can do.”

This news was not so bright for Pichers AJ Puck, Christian Montess Day Oka and Justin Martinez, which are probably out of the season.

Kelly is healthy for Lovulo despite her last outing and pitching well. In his first two beginnings of June, he did not allow a run in 13 innings and is 1–1 with 2.00 ERA in more than three months.

He will face Rockies for the 17th time in his career and starts 8–3 with 3.26 ERA in his last 16 matches.

Peakwist will try to win his first Major League game a month after making her debut in Arizona. On 16 May, he suffered a loss on 16 May after scoring five runs in four innings against Diamondback, who won 8–0.

Peakwist on Monday allowed at least four out of four of his six, including four in Washington, including four. Colorado won the game 6-4 during its season-high four-game winning line, but now two have fallen straight.

Even with the current skid, interim manager Warren Shefer said that he is happy how Rockies have played in the last three weeks after starting 9-50. They have been since 8-9.
