Saquon Barkley will not grow at a distance of 2,000 yards in 2025, and has nothing to do with a super bowl hangover or Maden curse.
More than a century of history, Philadelphia stands on the way to the Eagles Star, which became the ninth member of the 2K club in 2024. It is a club with zero two -time members.
The first eight players to reach the milestone recalled a combined 28 games in their follow-up campaigns and in that season only 1,080 running yard in that season-an average-one good total, of course, of course, but barely half the way for NFL immortality.
Barkle is only 28 and is still in his head, but after leading the league with a career-high 345 carry in 16 matches in the previous season, he will have to avoid another heavy charge. He will undoubtedly face more stacked boxes and other run-targeting game plans, as well as the fourth-most good schedule of Philadelphia NFL (the winning percentage in 2024 of the .561 opponents).

In 1999, after the retirement of the bronchos quarterback John Alway, Davis played only four games and got the next season mark for 2K members, at a distance of 211 yards on the ground. Davis reached only 1,194 more yards in his career after his 1998 MVP campaign, retiring before the 2002 season after the last “Mile High Salute”.
Fellow Hall of Feller Barry Sanders, who became the oldest club member with 2,053 yards for Detroit Lions in 1997 at the age of 29, came closest to draw a back-to-back 2K season with 1,491 in his farewell ride in 1998.
Kudos to Club members Eric Dicorson, Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson and Jamal Lewis, who all ran away at least 1,000 yards after breaking the 2K barrier. Dickerson still holds a NFL single-season record with 2,105 yards for Los Angeles Ram in 1984.
Deric Henry found the closest to post the Nonconcent 2,000-yard season, in 2024 with Baltimor Revenne in its first year, 1,921 yards in its first year, the trucking in 2020 with Titans is 2,027 yards, Henry, which is worth it, is the only person in NFL history.
Adam “Happy Gilmore” Sandler has promised to cast Henry in one of his films if he puts 2,000 on tape in 2025.
If Barkle reaches there in 2025, Phili’s fans will demand a role played in the next “Rocky” remake – or at least on a cameo behind the bar in the paddy’s pub on “Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.
Cring warning: The crossover from Gridirone Glory to Silver Screen has actually occurred by the opening member of this club. If only Orrenthal James Simpson was still known for his turn in the “Naked Gun” Flixes or in 1973 for ranking of 2,003 yards in just 14 games with Buffalo Bill.
