Karun Nair and Sai Sudharson share the same “duck” fate, Ben Stokes the Criminal

Karun Nair displayed a tremendous appearance in a series versus England Lions in India, where he also created a double ton.

What could be the worst possible result for a player who is making a comeback into the Indian team after 8 years, and a player who is playing his debut match. Getting out on 0, right? That is exactly what happened with, first Sai Sudharsan, and then Karun Nair, who both got out on ducks, and it was the England skipper Ben Stokes, who spoiled their party.

Karun Nair Out for 0

Even before the start of the India vs England Test series, there were a lot of expectations from this duo, but unfortunately they failed on their very first assignment. Nair, on the second day, was caught out by Ollie Pope, ending his four-ball stay at the crease. Likewise, Sai Su was caught behind, with the ball drifting down the leg side, also on the fourth delivery.

While in the larger context of the match, these two ducks might be inconsequential, with India is a strong position after Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant tons, but it is certainly an opportunity missed for them. That said, Nair and Sudharsan have shown what they are capable of doing.

Sai Sudharsan in the Same Boat

While playing for India A, Karun Nair had slammed a double ton, while Sudharsan is coming on the back of an orange cap-winning show from the IPL. So, the duo have the form, talent and time on their hands to make rectifications on the tour. As far as the match is concerned, the visitors were firmly in grip of the proceedings.

Just at the stroke of lunch, Pant made his way back to the pavilion, after scoring a 134. Earlier, Shubman Gill had been dismissed after getting his highest score in the format — 147.
