Corey Hem’s tire after hassle Rigs claims the first truck series winning

Layne Riggs caused one of the best race weekends of his youth career, and claimed the position of his first pole and then led the last 20 laps of Friday’s Milrtech battery 200, so that the NASCAR Tripleheader in Poconi Raceway won the first NASCAR craftsman truck series in the early race of NASCAR Tripleheader Weekend.
Rigs’ No. 34 Front Row Motisports Ford defeated Tricon Garage driver Tanner Gray, a healthy 3.64 second checker flags, winning your third career series.
The rigs were fast all day and the championship leader was second to Kori Hem, coming to a restart with 19 laps, only Hem’s number 11 Toyota had to go to suffer a flat tire as if the ground was about to take green flag.
Hem, just after pulling the track for a quick tire change, the driver of the NASCAR Cup series Carson Hoswar extended his number 7 Spire Motorsport Truck and resumed – but a punishment was assigned for the step.
Rigs, as a second-place car, was the “control” car when hem was not a pit-hosier-and the rigs assumed the lead when survived with 18 laps in the Hoswar pit and remained to serve stop-end-go penalty for its restart violations.
Rigs, 23 -year -old son of the NASCAR Cup series standout Scott Rigs, said, “This is just a will for this team, it was bad that it was especially the last run there.”
“I really hate 11 (Heim) and do not ensure what the seven (the hosions) were doing, what were doing on the restart, but ensured to take advantage of it.
“But, hey, I am a happy man right now. … It’s not what I made a round. Last year we ruined in practice, was not eligible for the last day and was not dead. And today we were the best. It’s amazing.”
For most of the initial race-before the problem of tire-this season’s four-race winner Hem essentially turned into a display of repeating his work on the 2.5-mile Poconi track a year ago, when he participated in both stages and won the race. Heim led one of the 90 laps Race-Best 48 and set an all-time series record claiming its 12th stage win.
But for his credit, Rigs – who also won a platform – kept Heim honest throughout the day. And that is, put it in a position to capital.
Kaden Honeycut, who began in the front row with rigs, finished third in number 45 niece motorcysts Chevrolet. Brandon Jones Number 19 in No.1 Tricon Garage Toyota and Daniel Hemic were dropped from the top five by Mackelly-Hilgman Racing Chevrolet.
Ruki Connor Mossack, Rigs’ team partner Chandler Smith, Stewart F this, completed the reign of series champions T -Majesky and Raja Karuth.
Heim rallied to finish 23rd and extended Smith to 124 points in the championship standing.
With winning, the rigs race claims the position of the seventh playoffs based on the win. Only four more regular-seasons race remains to decide that 10 drivers will compete for the NASCAR craftsman truck series championship.
The next Saturday inaugurated Liana 150 (at 1 pm on Fox for the historic Lime Rock Park Road course in the series Connecticut, heads of ET, MRN, SeriusXM NASCAR Radio).
