In the earlier moments of the toss, Sai Reformson was handed over his first Test cap. Southpo will be number 317 for India. It already solved the number three puzzle, as it was Cheteshwar Pujara, one of the best number three batsmen in India, who handed her a cap. It seemed almost certain that Karun Nair would play, and 8 years later, he returned to play India’s XI. Attractively, Nair was removed from the Test squad after the England series, and it is against England that he returns.
There is no place for Kuldeep Yadav or Nitish Reddy
In the toss, Shubman Gill confirmed that Sai would actually bat in three, and Karun Nair, who batted in a position for India A, returned to the team, but on the number six slot. He also confirmed that India is going with 4+1 bowling attack, four pacers (including all -rounder Shardul Thakur), and a spinner.
The pitch looks great to confirm both Gill and Ben Stokes. And that’s why he can leave Kuldeep Yadav and come back to cut India, especially in the latter part of the Heading Test.
