Every rounder rating from India’s squad for England’s testing

India has included four all -rounders in its squad for the England Test – Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar

The India cricket team has included four all -rounders in their squad for the five -match Test series against England. The UK tour will mark the onset of a new World Test Championship cycle for Shubman Gill and Cum. While Nitish Kumar Reddy’s trio, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar have been retained from the series against Australia, Shardul Thakur returned to the shore after about one and a half years.

India’s all -rounders rating

1. Ravindra Jadeja (7/10)

After the retirement of Ravichandran Ashwin, Southpow is currently the most experienced all -rounder. After playing 80 Tests, he has 323 wickets and 3370 runs in his name. However, Jadeja did not give much success in India’s last foreign tour. In Australia, he managed to take 4 wickets in only 3 matches, while scoring 135 runs with bat.

While he is sure to play it for almost all sports, a lot depends on how Jadeja will step and distribute with the bat in England.

2. Shardul Thakur (9/10)

Thakur last played a test for India in December 2023 in a series against South Africa. Subsequently, he was completely ignored from India’s Test setup in 2024. During the absence of the Indian side, Shardul returned to domestic cricket, where he continued to perform all -round for Mumbai, thus returning to the Indian team for the series against England.

Thakur is not a stranger to play in England, who scored three half -centuries and took 12 wickets out of 4 tests played in Britain.

Sharadul was extraordinary in domestic cricket. He took 35 wickets and scored 505 out of 9 matches in the Ranji Trophy 2024/25, emerging as the most valuable player for Mumbai. He then followed it with 13 wickets in IPL 2025. In a recently concluded series against England Lions, he managed to take two wickets. Thakur slammed an unbeaten 122-rol knock in the intra-skavad game between India and India, while taking some wickets in 1 day of the game, so that the game could be strengthened for a place in the game XI.

3. Nitish Kumar Reddy (6/10)

Nitish Reddy had an impressive 2024 that tracked him fast for tests. In his first series against Australia, he scored 298 runs in 5 matches, including a fighting century. He tasted very little success with the ball, managed to take only 5 wickets throughout the tour.

The all-rounder of Andhra Pradesh did not have a good season in IPL 2025, which led to a demonstration with the bat. He never bowled in the tournament.

In the series against England Lions, he recorded scores of 7, 52*, 34 and 42*, while managing just two wickets. It remains to be seen whether India will proceed with an experienced Shardul in its play XI or if Nitish will be carried forward for 1 test against England.

4. Washington Sundar (5/10)

Among all the all -rounders of India’s squad, Sundar has achieved the least game time against England till the series. After giving some standout all-round performance in the series against New Zealand at home, he was also included for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

However, he tasted the very limited success with the ball in Australia, managed to take just 3 wickets in 3 tests. He did well with the bat, however, scored 115 runs in 6 innings, including a fifty.

He did not play any one of the informal trials in a series against Lions of England in India. Neither was he even in the intra-squad game between wickets or run-scores. It seems that he is present in the squad as a back up spin all-rounder and the possibility of making it for XI to play it is very tarnished.
