Vyadham Clarke on Thursday apologized for damaging the Omont Country Club Lockers in anger at the US Open last week.

Clarke missed out on cutting the third major championship of the season, which was going 74–74 (at 8 overs) through two rounds. On Saturday, Shoster of the social media post “Tron Carter” “No Leaving Up” from the Golf Podcaster Tod showed pictures received from the Omont locker room.

Two doors of the lockers were severely damaged, with Shoester connecting it to Clarke. Omont officials later confirmed that Clarke’s locker was damaged.

Clarke was asked about the incident at the Travelers Championship on Thursday, when he opened with 6-under 64.

“Yes, I mean, I have made a lot of high and climb in my career, especially this year,” Clarke said. “I made a mistake that I regret deeply. I am very sorry for what happened.”

“But I would like to focus on not only for myself, but also for Omont, USGA, and the rest of this year and focus on things to come.

Clarke did not comment further on the matter. It was not known whether he had apologized directly to Okmont.

This was the second straightforward head where Clarke, 2023 US Open Champion, had to apologize for aggressive behavior. At the PGA Championship in May, after a poor drive, Clarke thrown his driver backwards. It crashed into the cinema with a volunteer, which stood only from the feet, and the club’s head was closed.
