ATP Roundup: Alexander Zverev, Daniel Medvedev Advance in Hell

Germany’s World No. 3 Alexander Zverev won 6–2, 6–1 over Marcos Giron in the first round at the recent Terra Wortman Open of Germany. Sureping Giron with his service, Zeverev had 10 aces and never faced a break point on the first service (82 percent), winning 28 out of 34 points.

Daniel Medvedev, who ranked 11th in Russia, also defeated France’s Quentin Helis 6–2, 7-5 in the second round. With only six unexpected errors (compared to 21) and converted into three out of five break points, Medvedev controlled the play, winning 60 percent points in the match.

Russia’s eighth seed Karen Khachanov and Alex Michaelsen also found the winner’s circle.

HSBC Championship

The second seed Jack Draper of the UK found the best of Australia’s Alexi Popirin at Round 2 Play in London, 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5). The match won 2 hours, 13 minutes and Draper won only 51% of the total marks. With 14 Aces and 33 winners, World No. 6 beat popirin in a fierce slugfest.

Denmark’s fourth seed Holgar Run won 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 over McKenzie McDonald. After a slow start, Run settled and dominated the state column in the remaining match. Players, who finished ninth in the world, benefited in winners (30–22), ACES (13-3), brake points (5–2) and Net points (11-6).

Spain’s Roberto Botista Aguta and Brandon Nakshima were also winners in 16 action.
