Coastal Carolina blown Louisville to reach MCWS final

Colby Thorndyke went 3-for-4 and went in five runs, including three in a decisive first innings, as number 13 coastal Carolina crashed the men’s college world series championship series with a 11–3 victory over Louisville on Wednesday in Omaha, Neb.

Chanticlers winning 2016 MCWS, will face the number 6 LSU in the best-three finals. The game is scheduled for 1 Saturday.

The coastal Carolina’s 26th direct win and sent Louisville from Omaha to Louisville.

Thorndike’s bases-Mashmanodhan Doubles, a huge opening innings for Chanticlers (56–11) was part of the innings, facing a five-run explosion before Louisville recorded an out.

Cardinals Starter Coleton Hartman was pulled out after facing just five coastal Carolina batsmen, all of which reached the base. Walker Mitchell first hit with a single, which went to Caden Bodin and Sebstian Alexander.

Louisville (42–24), who avoided eradication to play his way in Wednesday’s competition with a win over Erizona and Oregon state, quickly went to Bulpen. However, Jake Shwitzer came and gave Thorndick double immediately.

Chanticlers took a 6–0 lead till the end of the innings and never looked back. Thornadike recorded his fourth RBI when he was killed by a pitch with locations loaded in the sixth innings, then singing in the eighth to drive in Blake Barthol.

Michelle and Dean Mihos each scored in a pair of runs for the chantickers. Riley Ikhoff won, played 5 1/3 innings, and allowed seven hits and three runs – all of which came in the sixth innings. He hit four and one went away.

Tagu Davis, Garat Pike and Kamau Neighbiels both pike and neighbor in Louisville’s run, singing both Davis double heels.
