Can Mohammad Siraj redeem himself in the Indes vs Ang Test series after the BGT flop show?

On the last England tour, Mohammad Siraj took 18 wickets in five matches. With experience in England, he may be the second-command of Jasprit Bumrah in England.
Mohammad Sirraj was considered the second-in-command for Jasprit Bumrah on the Australia Tour. For his credit, Siraj was India’s second largest wicket in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, despite taking 20 wickets in five tests, Siraj was not as effective as many people expected. It was an average of 31.15 and a strike rate of 47.15, evidence that he was not in his best. Despite remembering Bumrah’s tournament, he was shown the door in the ICC Champions Trophy. And now that the IND vs ENG Test series starts from June 20, Siraj will get a chance to capitalize on himself.
Many people described the charge of Sirj as his dip as his dip. And well, Sirj bowled 388.1 overs in the WTC 2023-25 cycle behind Bumrah. Over the formats, he bowled 557.0 overs. Add IPL to the mixture, Siraj has been the most working pacer from India, who leave Bumrah behind. Break helped bring back Siraj as he took 11 wickets in the first seven matches of IPL 2025. However, his form was submerged again. He could manage only 5 wickets in the next eight matches.
Siraj in IND vs ENG Test series
Now, he has a chance to capitalize on himself again. While he has not been guaranteed a place in XI, India, in which the mixture with Prasad Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Shardul Thakur and Akash will be deeply in controversy. On the last England tour, Siraj played the right role to help Bumrah and Shami. Paer of Hyderabad took 18 wickets in nine innings.
Former India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun, who nurtured Siraj, believes that experience will help him succeed in England. He has supported Sirj to learn from mistakes.
“Siraj, as I said, with his experience, he is smart. All these years of regularly playing cricket have given him the right kind of exposure. So he is smart and the way he is bowling now, he has learned from his mistakes. I think the more mistakes you make, the better you start, and you work. You work. Prepared for that management,” India Arun told IANS in an interview,

Will Siraj be the deputy of Bumrah?
In England, India is expected to go with three frontline seamors. While Bumrah will be a constant factor in matches that he will play, the other two options are open for discussion. Prasad Krishna, the Purple Cap holder of IPL 2025, has been in great form. While he has not played warm-up matches for India A, he can be one of the three.
This will leave a place for three players to fight. Shardul Thakur will benefit with his batting on Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj. However, Shardul is often seen as the fourth seamor. Therefore, it may inspire India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir to choose the option of Siraj as the third pacer. With his rhythm, Bharat Arun is supporting Siraj to be a pace of second choice after Bumrah.
Nothing like experience. I am sure he would have learned a lot from that experience. Bringing that experience will help him understand those situations better. I saw her rhythm and she was getting an extraordinary rhythm. So I would say that it would probably be an opportunity for Siraj to become a frontline bowler with Bumrah, ” Bharat Arun said.
