Indiana pacers star Tieres Heliberton is believed to have stressed her right calf during the loss of game 5 for Oklahoma City and ESPN would have to undergo MRI reported on Tuesday afternoon.
Pacers are facing 3–2 for thunder in the best NBA finals, with game 6 on Thursday at Indianapolis.
Haliberton first appeared to increase the injury in the quarter, but played on Monday night when the host Oklahoma City won 120–109. He missed out all his six field-target efforts during the end with four points, seven rebounds and six assistance in 34 minutes.
“This is the final,” said Point Guard after Game 5. “I have worked to work here all my life and I want to stay out from there to compete, help my comrades somehow.
“I was not great in any way tonight, but it is not really my idea to not play here. If I can walk, I want to play.”
Indiana coach Rick Carlisle said of Haliburton, “He is not 100 percent. It’s very clear. But I don’t think he is going to remember the next game.”
“We were worried on Haftime. He insisted on playing. I felt that he had made a lot of good things in the second half. But he is not 100 percent. There are many people in this series who are not.”
Haliberton steals an average of 17.9 points, 9.1 aid, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 in 21 Postsen Games. He took an average of 18.6 points, 9.2 assistance, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 stolen in 73 regular-season games.
