‘WTC continues to invite Test match cricket’: ICC Chief J Shah at the beginning of 2025-27 bicycle | Cricket news

The International Cricket Council has announced the introduction of the 2025-27 World Test Championship Bicycle, after the 2025 ICC World Test Championship after South Africa’s victory in the final. The new cycle begins with Sri Lanka hosting Bangladesh for the two-testing series starting from June 17, with a five-protection series between England and India, while Australia has faced the West Indies in the Caribbean for a three-task series for the Frank Warel Trophy.Nine teams will participate in the World Test Championship, each nation will have to play six other teams – three at home and three distance – during a period of two years. He will also play 11 matches away from home during this cycle.England’s campaign includes 11 tests on domestic soil and 10 distant matches, including three-testing visits in South Africa, the winner of the 2025 WTC final, for December 2026.

India will be divided equally between home and distant fixtures in a total of 18 matches.
