The WNBA MVP is making a case for honor with the way Nepesa Kolier is playing for Minnesota Links this season.
When Minnesota (10–1) hosts the Las Vegas Aces (5-5) on Tuesday, Kolier appears to keep his dialect strong. Star Forward led the league with 26.1 points per game from a 32-point performance in a 101–78 win over Los Angeles Sparks.
The team’s fellow courtney Williams, who scored 17 runs in the victory, believes that the colir is MVP-worthy.
Williams told reporters after the game, “I am going to continue campaigning for him. The number is not a lie.” “Our team is not so good if it does not show how to show every game.”
Coliere’s effort against Sparks marked his third game of at least 30 points for Minnesota, which owns WNBA’s best record and is hunting for his first title since 2017.
A year ago, MVP runner-up for A’Ja Wilson, average of 8.8 rebounds, 3.9 aid, 2.0 stolen and 1.6 blocks, while 53.3 percent from the ground, 44.4 percent, 44.4 percent on the 3rd and 93.0 percent on the line.
Kayla McBrid (15.4 PPG), Williams (12.4) and Alana Smith (10.2) have also been an important contributor for Minnesota, who scored 58 points in the first two quarters against Los Angeles, which were for the highest scoring of the year.
“We see what this team is able to do, it seems to be a glimpse of it,” said Kolier. “We really need to lock to ensure that we are doing so for 40 minutes because it is great when we do.”
The aces are hoping to bounce back at home after losing 76-70 to Para on Sunday. He was once again playing without Wilson, who missed two games in the Constion Protocol. It is 20.9 points per competition and 9.6 rebound average.
Perhaps things run differently against Phoenix if Wilson is on the floor. ACES head coach Becky Hamon said more to reporters after the game.
“It’s hard,” Hamon said. “You know, we are missing 25 (digits) and 12 (rebound). So it has been done by the committee. I don’t know if we have reached there by the committee today. We have just got to be creative.”
Chelsea Gray scored 20 runs for Las Vegas and also pulled 10 rebels down. She was one in three in double figure as Jewel Lloyd added 17 and Jackie Young 15.
Youth, Gray and Lloyd are constantly scorers for ACES. Young is putting 19 points per game while Gray (15.1) and Lloyd (11.1) also average sports double-design average.
Las Vegas comes in the game with 2-3 road records against Minnesota. The matchup between Minnesota and Las Vegas matters in the cup standing of the commissioner. Links are 4–1 and aces 2-3.
If the links win, they will represent the Western Conference in the Commissioner Cup title game on 1 July. Minnesota defeated New York Liberty in the last season’s Commissioner Cup Championship Game.
