Mexico City – Shane Van Gisbergen claimed its first Bush light poll position of the season at Autodromeo Harmanos Rodriguez and will move on the inauguration of the inauguration on the 250 Sunday on the 250s Sunday, the first busy poll position of its first season and the inaugurated in Mexico City (3 pm ET, Amazon Prime, MRN, SeriyasXM Neskkar Radio).

The 45-minute qualifying session prescribed due to light rain was closed 17 minutes ago, but the 36-year-old former Australian supercar series champion was easily the field square-in the two practice sessions of 93.904 mph in two practice sessions in the afternoon, in the lap winning a pole of 93.904 mph.

Smiling and referring to road courses as their “natural habitat”, Van Gisbergen number 88 was quite satisfied with his work in the trackhouse racing Chevrolet-especially looking at the unknown of the race for the first time at the site.

The inaugural race is a plus when he resumed. He made a history of NASCAR in 2023, winning his first series initially the Chicago Street Race.

“This was a great session for us, yesterday (in practice) there was a lack of a lot of areas with our car, which was balanced our car and went through a lot of challenges last night – a couple I thought that probably were too much – and started my lap and the car was right from the beginning,” Van Gisbergen said.

Weekend’s pole position and positive start can prove to be particularly important as the van Gisbergen is ranked 33rd in the championship standing, essentially the 16-Driver NASCAR Cup series requires a race win to earn a rank in the playoff field.

“Surely, a win cures our year, shut you down,” he said that a win with a win with a smile about the pole helps produce a win.

“Win a race and it changes your year and then we can run with low pressure, and simply keep learning, stay organized, keep getting better every week and then we can try some stuff,” they continued. “We are welded in a box at the moment, just don’t want to get out of our comfort area.”

Another remarkable qualifying attempt came from Ryan Preis of RFK racing, which would start in second place on the front line with Van Gisbergen. Pis was the second fastest – and only one lap in the session.

Van Gisbergen’s trackhouse team partner Ross Chastain was the third fastest in the number 1 Chevrolet, followed by the Gibbs Racing’s Ti Gibbs, who started a front line in the first NASCAR XFINITY chain race during the day.

One of NASCAR’s most respected road courses drivers, Michael McDowel of Spire Motorsports was the fifth fastest in qualifying and will start with three-race winners of the season in the third line, with Handric Motor Sports Kail Larsen.

Mexico natives – and huge crowds favorite – Daniel Suarez number 99 was the 10th fastest in trackhouse Chevrolet.

William Bayran of NASCAR Cup Series Championship Leader, Hendric will be at 27th position.

-Podium Festival

Handric motorcysters driver Kyle Larsen is one of the most versatile-traveled-polls in the NASCAR garage. And he had nothing to praise for the organizers of the Mexico City Race, given that it was “fun” to stay in the same hotel and share the bus ride in the circuit with his rivals.

One of the unique features of Autodromeo Harmanos Rodrigue’s course is that the top three drivers in the race will stand on a podium to get the trophy – similar to the traditional formula one winning festival.

Larsen likes this idea and thinks that perhaps it is something that the game will think else will think elsewhere.

Larsen said, “Maybe the events of your crown jewels will be a good start, but I am not sure,” Larsen said, “although it is sometimes disappointed when you are disappointed and forced you to a smile, I think fan appreciates the top three drivers on the frontstrate, photo and WhatsApp.

“You look at other forms of motorsports, and post-race podium festive-like I look at Formula 1, you celebrate the country that you are also, which you are playing the national anthem. But I think it’s a good couple touch. So, yes, yes, I think it’s ways to see and feel like our own.”

-Sabhas Suarez

Later this week, several drivers commented on the huge local support shown for the trackhouse to the number of Daniel Suarez of Trackhouse Racing, native to a Mexico and a leader of NASCAR in Mexico City.

Asked what he would do if it came down to win his and Suarez, experienced and road racing talent, Spire motorcysts driver Michael McDowell smiled and admitted that he had already thought of that scenario.

“I was remembering this. I was so, you (Daniel) don’t want to spin Suarez here, I can tell you,” McDowell said. “You don’t want to do this. It is not part of your strategy for the weekend.

“But the head of my crew and I was talking about it and he said, what do you mean?

“You are never going for anyone. At the same time, I am not going to go out of him somehow, it’s definitely. I think it’s for everyone. I think this road course is part of strange etiquette in racing.”

Mexico City sits 7,349 feet above sea level and is surrounded by mountains on three sides – this NASCAR national chain is a very different setting compared to regular experience.

Some drivers also used a hypoxic tent to help make them easier, others arrive early to use for climate and height.

“When it comes to the driver and height training, there are many different strategies and a lot of different philosophy,” McDowell said. “I, in any way, feel like a scientist that has found it right, but I have gone here for some time and I have experienced it for some time, so I know what works for me.

“This is a challenge. Honestly, this is part of the reason that I did not decide not to run the race of XFINITY because I felt that it is a really physical demand weekend, acting for height and road racing in general. Yes, additional laps and extra seat time will be very good, but I want to ensure that you ensure that I ensure that I ensure that I ensure that I ensure that I make sure that I make sure Do it to make sure that I make sure that I go to my border on Sunday. “
