WTA Roundup: Tatjana Maria serves for the title in London

German qualifier Tatjana Maria captured her fourth career title with a 6-3, 6-4 win over eighth seed Amanda Anisimova on Sunday in the final of the HSBC Championship in London.
In appearance with her husband and two daughters, Maria fired seven aces and won 66 percent in her first service to send Anisimova in 1 hour and 23 minutes.
The 37 -year -old Maria won her first WTA title on grass in Malorca in 2018 before winning Clay in 2022 and 2023.

The third seed Alice Martens achieved his second WTA tour title of the year 6-3, 7-6 (4) with a win on Elena-Gabrela Russia with ‘S-Hartogenbosh, Netherlands’ victory in the finals.
Martens, who won the Singapore Tennis Open in February, fired four aces and took advantage of seven double defects for sending the Romanian qualifier in 1 hour, 57 minutes and seized his 10th WTA singles title.
Mertens improved his career vs. Ruse 4–0, who won his only WTA tour title on Hamburg Clay in 2021.
